Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 12 months of recent urgent care or acute care experience; comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting
• Scope: Must be able to see and treat all patients as the sole provider in the clinic
• Board Certification: Required (Nurse Practitioner boards)
• Licensure/Compliance: Active Nurse Practitioner license eligible to practice in North Carolina
• Certifications: BLS required; Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification required; NC DEA required
• Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-first approach; excellent clinical judgment in urgent care settings
• Training: Must complete required Epic EMR training and onboarding prior to first solo shift

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality urgent care services for adult and pediatric patients (6 months+), including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and patient education
• Manage a broad range of acute presentations efficiently in a high-volume clinic while maintaining excellent bedside manner and patient experience
• Perform common urgent care procedures, including incision & drainage (I&D), laceration repair, ear irrigation, and other minor procedures as needed
• Document all visits accurately and timely in Epic, including orders, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions
• Collaborate with on-site clinical support staff and follow established protocols to ensure safe, consistent, and compliant patient care
