Job Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience in pediatric stepdown, adolescent care, rehab, or med-surg nursing preferred
- Trach and ventilator management experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- CPI certification required
- Meditech experience preferred
- Comfort caring for pediatric and adolescent patients with complex needs
- First-time travelers accepted
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for pediatric and adolescent patients with complex medical needs
- Monitor patients recovering from trauma, spinal cord injury, burns, and other high-acuity conditions
- Perform and manage tracheostomy care, ventilator support, suctioning, and respiratory interventions
- Administer medications, maintain IV access, and support feeding therapies as needed
- Assess patient status, respond quickly to changes, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
- Collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other clinical support partners
- Support mobility, wound care, isolation precautions, and infection prevention practices
- Float within scope when needed and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment
