- Schedule Notes: Assignments end on Saturday; block scheduling is not available, but weekend-only requests may be considered
- Additional Notes: Charge nurse responsibility may be required with appropriate training and pay differential; limited time-off requests may apply
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Virginia or compact state eligibility at start
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Cerner experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac, telemetry, neuro, CVA, and medical-surgical conditions
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Administer medications, therapies, and treatments in accordance with clinical protocols
- Collaborate with providers and care team members to support safe, effective patient outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
- Support unit workflow and contribute to a positive, team-oriented patient care environment
- Assist with charge responsibilities if needed and trained for the role
