• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010 (travel nurse pay)
• Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 — Virginia nursing jobs, Lynchburg healthcare
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
• Start Date: April 20, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (night shift, telemetry/Cardiac Stepdown)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (IMCU), LAC Resource Team
• Orientation Dates: April 20, May 4 (every other week on Mondays)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent RN experience in IMCU, Cardiac Stepdown, or telemetry
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required upon start
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Cerner EMR experience preferred (electronic health record experience)
• Work history with explanation for any gaps over 90 days
• Skills checklist and copy of Nursys/license required
• All requested time off must be submitted with application

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for a mixed patient population including med-surg, telemetry, cardiac IMCU, neuro, and CVA patients
• Perform continuous cardiac and telemetry monitoring, assess patient trends, and escalate changes in condition
• May be assigned charge nurse responsibilities with appropriate training and pay differential
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital environment to support patient care and quality outcomes
• Support and mentor students and new hires, contributing to a positive clinical learning culture
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR and follow hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
