• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,370 - $2,500 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Location: Alamogordo, NM 88310 — New Mexico travel nurse opportunity
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 2, 2026)
• Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (06:00 – 16:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, Full-Time (Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse)

Cath Lab RN Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Cath Lab, cardiac cath lab, or related interventional cardiology nursing specialty
• Active RN license in the state of New Mexico (required)
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Verbal CPI required (CPI Blue Card accepted)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; patient-centered and culturally sensitive care
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Additional language skills are a plus for this community-oriented role

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities — Cardiac Catheterization & Interventional Cardiology

• Provide peri-procedural nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures
• Perform comprehensive nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and management to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
• Maintain clinical competency in sterile technique, hemodynamic monitoring, and cath lab equipment
• Advocate for patients and families while respecting cultural, religious, and privacy needs
• Demonstrate efficient time management and teamwork in a fast-paced procedural environment
• Practice the five rights of medication administration and adhere to hospital policies and compliance standards
• Participate in department quality improvement activities and required legal/compliance training
• Promote positive public relations by presenting professionally and supporting community outreach as needed
