Cath Lab Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Virginia
- Recent experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or closely related procedural nursing setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures, sterile technique, and patient monitoring
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced procedural environment
- Successful completion of applicable onboarding, competency, and compliance requirements
Cath Lab RN Responsibilities
- Assess, prepare, and monitor patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary procedural team to support safe, efficient cardiovascular care
- Administer medications and manage vascular access sites in accordance with applicable policies and clinical standards
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition or procedure-related complications
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate pertinent patient information
- Promote infection prevention, patient safety, and a positive patient experience throughout each procedure
