Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay (Travel Nurse): $2,750 - $2,890
• Location: Kankakee, IL 60901 (Kankakee County, near Chicago)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shifts: 4 shifts per week, 9-hour days (7:00am – 4:30pm) with call and rotating holiday call
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Setting: Acute Care – Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Cardiology
• Charting System: Epic EMR (Epic experience required)

Job Requirements (Cath Lab RN / Travel Nurse)

• Active RN license in Illinois (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years recent Cath Lab RN experience; 3+ years preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR required (electronic charting proficiency)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to float to at least 2 of 3 lab areas: Cath, IR, EP
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred; TAVR, Watchman, and pacemaker/ICD experience highly preferred
• Must be able to respond within 30 minutes while on call

Responsibilities (Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Nursing)

• Provide peri-procedural nursing care during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures (e.g., L heart cath, valvuloplasty, TAVR, Watchman)
• Circulate, assist with sedation, monitor hemodynamics, and manage patient safety during procedures
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, electrophysiology (EP) staff, interventional radiology (IR) teams, and Cath Lab techs
• Care for patients with a variety of cardiac diagnoses and devices (pacemaker/ICD implants, ablations)
• Participate in call rotation including weeknight, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic and adhere to acute care nursing standards
• Complete comprehensive orientation to all lab areas and follow established Cath Lab policies and protocols
