Travel Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) – Interventional Gastroenterology | Glenwood Springs, CO
Seeking an experienced Travel Clinic RN for an outpatient gastroenterology nursing assignment in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Join a specialized ambulatory care team supporting patients with complex digestive health conditions, including pancreatobiliary disorders, swallowing concerns, stents, liver conditions, reflux, and other advanced gastroenterology needs. This on-site travel nursing opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule, no weekends, and no call while allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty and outdoor recreation of Colorado’s Roaring Fork Valley.
Travel Nursing Job Details

- Contract End Date: April 20, 2027
- Duration: Approximately 24 weeks
- Schedule: Five 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week; holiday hours are not included for clinic assignments
- Call and Weekends: None
- Work Setting: On-site outpatient gastroenterology clinic
Travel Clinic RN Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or a nursing program approved by the applicable state board
- Active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- At least 2 years of specific gastroenterology RN experience
- Previous clinic or ambulatory care nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, with card in hand before the start date
- Current influenza vaccination required for the assignment period; no exemptions are available
- Travelers must meet the applicable distance requirement, including a permanent residence at least 75 miles from the assignment location
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred
Gastroenterology RN Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients receiving interventional and complex gastroenterology services
- Assess and monitor patients with pancreatobiliary, liver, reflux, swallowing, stent-related, and other digestive health conditions
- Prepare patients for procedures, treatments, and follow-up care in the ambulatory clinic setting
- Coordinate care with gastroenterology providers and the interventional gastroenterology team
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, medications, and discharge instructions
- Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care coordination accurately
- Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate clinical team
