Job Requirements
- Completion of a postsecondary medical assistant training program or another training pathway permitted by applicable law
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from a nationally recognized certifying organization
- Minimum 2 years of recent outpatient, ambulatory, or clinic-based medical assistant or comparable clinical support experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association or American Red Cross approved provider
- Documented training and competency for injections, medication-administration support, skin tests, inhalation treatments, venipuncture, specimen collection, and waived testing as applicable
- Strong communication, organization, and patient care skills
Responsibilities
- Support providers with day-to-day clinical operations in an outpatient clinic setting
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Obtain and document patient information, vital signs, and other clinical data
- Perform injections, medication support tasks, skin tests, inhalation treatments, venipuncture, specimen collection, and waived testing within scope and competency
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with care coordination
- Promote a positive patient experience through compassionate, efficient, and professional care
