• Setting: 16-bed CVICU, Tower Building
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 – $1,730

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Tennessee or Compact RN license accepted
• Minimum 1 year recent CVICU or critical care RN experience (post-operative cardiac care preferred)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, PA (Swan-Ganz) catheter management, and ventilator care
• Preferred experience: IABP, Impella, CRRT, ECMO, and LVAD management
• Ability to float to other ICU units and work collaboratively as a travel nurse on multidisciplinary teams
• Flexible to work 2 weekends per month and select holidays

Core Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care for immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including ECMO, Centrimags, and HeartMate III (HM3) LVADs
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures: central line care and insertion support, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion/management, intubation support, and advanced hemodynamic assessments
• Monitor and manage invasive lines and pressors; apply strong hemodynamic assessment and titration skills
• Use and troubleshoot advanced ICU equipment: Phillips bedside telemetry, Hill-Rom beds, Alaris IV pumps, and other critical care devices
• Document thorough, timely patient care and assessments in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with intensivists, cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, advanced practice providers, and techs to deliver coordinated, patient-focused care
• Maintain a safe, compassionate environment and adhere to unit policies, patient safety standards, and infection control practices
