Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or closely related critical care nursing experience
- Active Oklahoma RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Experience caring for cardiac surgical and cardiac medical patients preferred
- Ability to work night shift travel nursing assignments in a high-acuity ICU setting
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable floating within scope to similar ICU settings as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to complex CVICU patients with cardiac and medical critical care needs
- Monitor hemodynamic status and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, and advanced cardiac drips
- Administer and titrate vasoactive medications, insulin protocols, and continuous IV sedation as ordered
- Support care for patients with dysrhythmias, stroke, renal failure, and multisystem organ dysfunction
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response services
- Assist with procedures such as chest tube care, sheath removal, and line management as appropriate
- Deliver safe, patient-centered care while maintaining strong attention to detail in a busy cardiovascular ICU
