CVICU Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
- At least 2 years of CVICU, cardiac ICU, or comparable critical care experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- ACLS and BLS certification required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage a high-acuity patient population
- Experience with cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, arterial lines, central lines, and dysrhythmia management preferred
CVICU RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality bedside care to CVICU patients with complex cardiac and multisystem needs
- Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced cardiac support and continuous titration of drips
- Interpret telemetry, ABGs, and dysrhythmias to guide timely clinical interventions
- Care for patients with invasive lines and advanced equipment in a critical care setting
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, and other support services
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold best practices for patient safety and quality care
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a dynamic, team-oriented healthcare environment
