Travel Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-week travel contract in Tuscaloosa, AL; 12-hour nights, weekly pay $1,640–$1,730, start May 11, 2026. Join our nephrology team and make a meaningful impact caring for patients with kidney disease (ESRD) across two hospital campuses.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required (ADN) or equivalent
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or compact state (no temporary licenses accepted)
• Registered in NURSYS
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications (or Red Cross equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 recent year in dialysis nursing (hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis)
• Experience with Fresenius and Gambro dialysis machines preferred (training provided if unfamiliar)
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed
• Professional nursing certification in dialysis or nephrology (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and perform dialysis treatments (hemodialysis and bedside peritoneal dialysis) for inpatients at DCH Regional and Northport campuses
• Operate and troubleshoot Fresenius and Gambro dialysis equipment (training available)
• Maintain RN:patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3 with Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) support
• Document patient care and dialysis treatments in Meditech EMR and follow facility policies
• Collaborate with the nephrology care team to manage patients with ESRD and acute kidney injury
• Float to other units and hospitals as required; work every other weekend and holidays as needed
