Required Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active physician license (NC license preferred)
• Board certification required
• Must be NC Medicaid credentialed
• Must be enrolled in PECOS
• Proven ability to work independently in a solo coverage environment
• Strong clinical decision-making skills in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Familiarity with Meditech 6.1 or comparable EMR systems preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department
• Manage approximately 18–20 patients during a 12-hour night shift
• Deliver solo physician coverage while collaborating with mid-level providers and hospital staff
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of acute and urgent conditions across all age groups
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Meditech 6.1
• Coordinate care with available support services including anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and radiology
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, quality, and timely clinical care in an emergency department setting
