- Annual Volume: Approximately 10,000 emergency department visits in year one
- Facility Highlights: 11 emergency treatment bays, fully equipped trauma bay, private treatment rooms, separate adult and pediatric waiting areas, on-site CT, ultrasound, and radiology
Emergency Medicine Physician Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with recent emergency department experience
- Active physician license in the practicing state, or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Strong clinical decision-making skills in a fast-paced emergency care setting
- Ability to collaborate with physicians, intensivists, hospitalists, specialists, nursing, and EMS teams
Emergency Department Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients across a wide range of acuity levels
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergent and urgent conditions in an efficient, patient-centered manner
- Stabilize patients requiring higher levels of care and coordinate smooth transfers for inpatient admission when needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and effective patient handoffs
- Use on-site diagnostic imaging and emergency department resources to support timely treatment decisions
- Deliver high-quality care to both adult and pediatric patient populations
