Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to provide ongoing locum tenens coverage beginning 11/1/2026. This hospital-based emergency medicine job includes day and overnight coverage, with a strong preference for providers who can support night shifts. There are two openings available, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a high-volume emergency department.

• Schedule: Flexible emergency medicine coverage with 4-8 shifts per month; nights are the primary need
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts (9am-9pm) with overnight ER coverage available (11pm-6am, occasionally closer to 7am)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $8,000-$8,570
• Setting: Hospital emergency department
• Patient Volume: Approximately 37,000 annual visits

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required
• Board certified or board eligible within 3-5 years of residency
• Active Oregon medical license required
• DEA required
• ATLS required
• ACLS and BLS experience preferred, with credentialing requirements confirmed during onboarding
• Ability to work a mix of day and night shifts, with strong preference for providers available for overnight emergency medicine coverage

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medicine care to a diverse patient population
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in a fast-paced hospital emergency department
• Manage an average of 16 patient encounters per shift
• Collaborate with a well-supported clinical team and utilize available specialty services as needed
• Support both day and overnight emergency department coverage based on departmental needs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established ED protocols
