Emergency Medicine Physician Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred; strong experienced providers may be considered
- Comfort working independently in a busy emergency department
- Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced patient environment
- Competency with common ED procedures, including intubation, procedural sedation, fracture reduction/splinting, chest tube placement, CPR, suture repair, I&D, and central line placement
- Excellent clinical judgment and strong communication skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency care for a broad range of acute medical and traumatic presentations
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with chest pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, falls, MVC-related injuries, and sports injuries
- Perform essential emergency procedures as needed to stabilize and treat patients
- Work efficiently in a high-volume setting with an average daily census of 55-60 patients
- Deliver care during both day and night coverage on a rotating schedule
- Collaborate with the ED team to support safe, timely, and effective patient care
