Endoscopy RN Job Details

• Location: Henrico, Virginia (Zip: 23294) – Richmond area
• Healthcare Setting: Main Hospital – Endoscopy Unit
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/9/2026 – End: 5/11/2026)
• Nursing Shifts: 8 Hour Days (07:30 – 17:00), 4 shifts/week (40 hours/week)
• On-Call: Weekend and after-hours on-call required
• Unit Size: 5 pre-op beds, 5 post-op beds, 2 procedural rooms
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
• Documentation System: Expanse EMR
• Dress Code: Blue scrubs (light blue preferred)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Virginia or compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Endoscopy nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proficiency with bedside monitors, EKG machines, and endoscopic procedural equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Endoscopy Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures
• Assist with colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and ERCPs
• Monitor and assess patients in pre-op, post-op, and procedural settings
• Document patient care using Expanse EMR system
• Collaborate with experienced RNs in a supportive, family-oriented healthcare department
• Float to local HCA Endoscopy facilities or pre-op/PACU as needed
• Participate in on-call rotation for weekends and after-hours coverage
