- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,620–$2,760
- Start Date: March 16, 2026
- End Date: June 13, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–8:00pm
- Shift Options: 5x8 hour shifts or 4x10 hour shifts per week
- Hours per Week: 40
- On-Call: Required for overnights and weekends
- Openings: 3 travel nurse positions
- Employment Type: Travel Contract (W2)
- Setting: On-site Endoscopy / GI Lab – endoscopy nurse, GI nurse, procedural nursing
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active New York State RN license (NY license only) – required for Rochester travel nursing
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of recent endoscopy procedure experience (endoscopy RN or GI lab RN)
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm identification
- Strong skills with conscious sedation, moderate sedation protocols, and patient monitoring
- Expert IV insertion skills and experience administering IV drips
- Experience recovering patients from general anesthesia and managing post-anesthesia care
- Experience performing pre-procedure intake and patient education for GI procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate patient care and answer patient questions with professionalism and empathy
- Monitor and document vital signs, sedation levels, and telemetry during procedures
- Administer sedation and medications as ordered and titrate per protocol
- Recover patients post-procedure, including patients emerging from general anesthesia
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, including procedure notes and discharge instructions
- Prepare and maintain endoscopy instruments, equipment, and supplies in compliance with infection control standards
- Assist and anticipate physician needs during GI endoscopic procedures to ensure patient safety
- Perform IV starts, manage infusion therapy, and monitor patient responses
