Required Qualifications

  • Active California RN license (required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 3 years clinical RN experience, with recent ambulatory surgery/endoscopy experience within the past 2 years
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross) — in hand at submission
  • EPIC charting experience (EPIC electronic health record)
  • Travel nursing experience preferred
  • Trained in conscious sedation and technical endoscopy skills
  • Ability to provide accurate 7-year work history verification and 2 professional references from the past year

Core Responsibilities — Endoscopy RN / Ambulatory Surgery Nurse

  • Assess, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate nursing care for endoscopy and ambulatory surgery patients
  • Provide direct patient care, pre- and post-procedure education, and family support
  • Develop and implement interdisciplinary plans of care with physicians and allied health teams
  • Perform and assist with endoscopic procedures including EGD, ERCP, colonoscopies, and bronchoscopies
  • Administer and monitor conscious sedation; manage airway and IV access
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and urgent clinical changes during procedures
  • Specimen handling and accurate labeling, timely documentation using EPIC
  • Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, perioperative staff, and physicians to ensure safe patient flow
  • Participate in orientation, mandatory modules, and unit-based training
