Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts required before start
- At least 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Cerner experience preferred
- Strong experience caring for patients of all ages, including pediatric and adult populations
- Ability to work in a high-volume emergency room setting with patient ratios of approximately 1:4/5
- Experience with emergency nursing skills such as triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV management, and procedural support preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
- Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients presenting with acute and complex conditions
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and support emergency interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
- Perform triage and prioritize care based on patient acuity
- Support procedural sedation, dysrhythmia management, and other ER nursing treatments as needed
- Document patient care accurately using the facility's charting system
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and compassionate care environment during night shift operations
