We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic emergency department setting. Job Details
- Position: Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Location: Lynchburg, Virginia 24501
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Duration: 20 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
- Work Schedule: Every other weekend required
- Start Dates: 10/5/2026 or 10/19/2026
- Orientation: Held every other Monday
- Holiday Requirement: Must work at least one major holiday
- Additional Notes: Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Experience in a similar-sized ED and trauma level 1 or 2 environment
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Trauma certification required (ATCN, TNCC, or ATLC accepted)
- CPI certification required before start date
- Prior Cerner experience strongly preferred
- All requested time off must be included at the time of submission
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care to emergency department patients
- Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care in a fast-paced ER setting
- Respond to trauma, acute illness, and high-acuity patient needs
- Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support smooth patient flow
- Provide care while adhering to department policies, protocols, and safety standards
- Contribute to a supportive team environment and adapt to changing patient census
