- Patient Ratio: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Schedule Notes: Weekend rotation required; no on-call requirement
Job Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or ER nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency room setting
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups
- Perform comprehensive assessments, accurately document findings, and recognize changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and support procedures such as IV starts, Foley catheter care, dressings, and telemetry monitoring
- Care for patients with trauma, respiratory distress, neurological events, and behavioral health concerns
- Educate patients and families while advocating for high-quality, compassionate care
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support efficient patient flow and excellent outcomes
- Follow safety standards, report concerns promptly, and contribute to a positive unit culture
