Job Requirements
- Active Texas RN license required; temporary license will not be accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS or ENPC certification required
- TNCC certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Experience with Meditech preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and comfort working in a high-acuity emergency care environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a busy Emergency Department and Emergency Room setting
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity and presenting symptoms
- Deliver safe, effective emergency nursing care for patients with a wide range of conditions
- Support care for trauma, stroke, chest pain, and PCI/STEMI-related cases
- Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Follow unit protocols, safety standards, and attendance expectations
- Wear required professional attire and follow unit grooming and appearance guidelines
