• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Number of Beds: 14
• Parking: Convenient parking in front of the hospital

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (compact or state RN license valid for Texas preferred)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) experience; Level IV Trauma experience required
• Experience with MedHost-ED EMR preferred (EMR experience in ED settings helpful)
• Strong triage, acute care, and trauma management skills (resuscitation, cardiac arrest, airway management)
• Ability to wear scrubs in any solid color
• Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility (travel nursing requirement)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a busy Level IV Trauma Emergency Department
• Perform rapid assessment, triage, and management of patients with acute medical, surgical, and trauma conditions
• Provide resuscitation and emergency interventions following ACLS/PALS protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—physicians, paramedics, ancillary staff—to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in MedHost-ED EMR or equivalent electronic health record
• Adhere to hospital trauma protocols, safety procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide compassionate communication and support to patients and families during high-stress emergencies
