Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift Contract | Greenville, NC
Experienced ER nurses can join a high-acuity Emergency Department team in Greenville, North Carolina, for a 13-week travel nursing contract. Care for diverse adult patient populations in a 92-bed unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio while using your expertise in trauma care, telemetry, medication drips, and complex medical and neurological conditions. Greenville offers a welcoming college-town atmosphere, riverfront recreation, and convenient access to the broader eastern North Carolina region.

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association
- TNCC certification
- Strong Level I trauma experience
- Telemetry and medication drip experience
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
- ESI triage training preferred
- CPI Blue certification; may be obtained on site
- Ability to work scheduled night shifts and required weekends
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based emergency nursing care to patients presenting with emergent and complex conditions
- Assess, prioritize, and stabilize patients using emergency nursing standards and established triage processes
- Care for patients with acute stroke, seizures, congestive heart failure, sepsis, acute myocardial infarction, trauma, and diabetes-related conditions
- Support the management of neuro-medicine and neurosurgical patient populations, including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage
- Monitor telemetry patients and safely administer and titrate medication drips according to orders and protocol
- Recognize changes in patient condition and collaborate promptly with the interdisciplinary care team
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in EPIC
- Deliver compassionate care to patients and families during urgent and high-stress situations
