Job Details

- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Towson, Maryland, near Baltimore
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts
- Shift Options: 3x12 or 4x12 nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Contract Length: 7 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,110
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Charting System: Epic preferred
- Setting: High-acuity Emergency Department with a broad mix of adult and pediatric patients
Job Requirements
- Active Maryland RN license or compact license at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI
- ENPC preferred
- Experience caring for patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Comfort working in a fast-paced emergency room setting with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Ability to float within scope as needed
- Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of conditions
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, traumatic, and behavioral health concerns
- Support care for conditions such as chest pain, MI, stroke, respiratory distress, seizures, overdoses, and psychiatric emergencies
- Administer medications, initiate IVs, and assist with emergency department interventions as clinically indicated
- Monitor patients closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support effective, timely patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Promote a calm, professional environment while caring for diverse and sometimes high-risk patient populations
