Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nursing Contract – Wilson, NC
Travel ER RN – 13-week Emergency Department travel nursing contract in Wilson, NC. Nights, 12-hour shifts, competitive weekly pay and guaranteed 36 hours/week.
Join the dynamic team at a Joint Commission–accredited hospital in Wilson, North Carolina, as an Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse. This 13-week travel nursing assignment supports a 26-bed ED caring for geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients. Wilson is a vibrant community just 45 miles east of Raleigh with easy access to the NC coast, universities, and scenic Lake Wilson.

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 – $1,730
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 20, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:00); every other weekend required
- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
- Setting: Emergency Department (26 beds) – ER/ED nursing role

Required Qualifications – Emergency Department Nurse (ER RN)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience (ED/ER nurse, triage, acute care)
- ADN or higher (Associate Degree in Nursing or BSN preferred)
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS required
- Meditech EHR experience preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and a positive, engaged attitude
Primary Responsibilities – ER/ED Registered Nurse
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting (travel nurse responsibilities)
- Assess, triage, and manage patients across all ages, including respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis needs, and hypertensive crises
- Perform ED nursing duties using GE monitors and standard emergency equipment
- Maintain flexible patient ratios (typically 1:4–1:5 depending on acuity) and adapt to fluctuating census
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Float to similar assignments within the facility as needed
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and dress code (scrub color: any)
