Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel Nurse Contract – Wilson, NC

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730
• Location: Wilson, NC 27893 (Wilson, North Carolina; Raleigh area)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 26, 2026 – July 26, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00–07:00) — Night Shift Travel RN
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Unit: Emergency Department (26 beds)
• Patient Ratio: 1:4-5 (flexible depending on acuity)
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience — emergency nursing or ED triage experience preferred
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (required)
• Active RN license (state of assignment)
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Meditech EHR experience preferred
• Strong team player with a positive, engaged attitude and ability to work in high-acuity emergency settings

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with a variety of conditions, including respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis issues, and hypertensive emergencies
• Provide critical thinking and rapid decision-making in high-acuity situations; support patient stabilization and care coordination
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, lab, imaging) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize GE monitors, standard ED equipment, and point-of-care tools
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EHR and follow departmental policies and protocols
• Float to similar assignments as needed to support the emergency nursing team
