CT Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working as a CT Technologist, Computed Tomography Technologist, or Radiologic Technologist, including experience performing diagnostic X-ray examinations
- Current ARRT certification with CT qualifications
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- CT Technologist or Computed Tomography certification as required for the assignment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively during overnight shifts
- Radiation safety awareness and willingness to use required radiation-monitoring equipment
CT and X-Ray Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform computed tomography examinations according to established protocols and safety standards
- Provide diagnostic X-ray services as part of the scheduled imaging coverage
- Prepare patients for CT and X-ray examinations, explain procedures, and promote comfort and safety
- Verify patient information, imaging orders, and examination protocols before procedures
- Operate and monitor CT and radiographic equipment while maintaining image quality
- Document examinations accurately in EPIC and communicate relevant findings or concerns to the appropriate clinical team
- Follow radiation protection, infection prevention, and department safety procedures
