• Shift: 8-hour evenings (1500 start); 4 shifts per week (4x8s)
• Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours/week
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• On-Call: None
• EMR/Documentation System: Epic
• Patient Ratios (approx.): Nurse 1:8–10; CNA 1:6–8
• Unit Size: Memory Wellness (18–19 beds) and Emotion Wellness (8–9 beds)

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of CNA experience (long-term care/SNF experience preferred)
• Licensure: Active Washington State CNA license
• Certifications: CNA certification and BLS (AHA)
• Behavioral Health Skills: Comfort supporting patients in a geriatric psych / behavioral health environment with professionalism and empathy
• Core Skills: Age-appropriate care, strong interpersonal skills, and clear communication with patients and the care team

Key Responsibilities (Gero Psych CNA)

• Provide direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs): feeding, hygiene, toileting, and ambulation
• Promote patient safety, dignity, and comfort while supporting a calm, therapeutic milieu
• Observe, document, and report changes in patient condition, behavior, and safety concerns to the nursing team
• Encourage appropriate independence and support individualized care plans
• Document care and observations accurately in Epic per hospital/unit standards
• Float to Adult Psych as needed based on staffing and patient care needs
