Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Pediatric Acute Care Hospital Contract in Baltimore, MD

- Setting: Pediatric acute care hospital unit
- Location: Baltimore, MD 21209
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $790 - $840
- Patient Population: Pediatrics and adolescents
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
- Floating: Required within specialty areas as needed
- Orientation: Provided prior to assignment start
- Start Date: 09/14/2026
CNA Job Requirements
- Active Maryland CNA license required
- Minimum of 2 years of CNA experience required
- Pediatric and acute care experience required
- BLS certification required
- CPI certification required
- Experience with Meditech preferred
- Comfort working with pediatric and adolescent patients with complex medical needs
- Ability to work holidays as scheduled
- Ability to float within scope and adapt to changing unit needs
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate basic patient care, including bathing, turning, transfers, hygiene, and toileting support
- Take and record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other routine observations
- Assist with feeding, mobility, repositioning, and safe patient transfers
- Support patients with activities of daily living and maintain a clean, safe care environment
- Use appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand machines, wheelchairs, and specialty beds
- Assist with trach care, G-tube/NG tube support, and other unit-specific patient care tasks as trained and assigned
- Observe patients closely and report any changes in condition promptly to the nursing team
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to support high-quality pediatric patient care
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and documentation procedures consistently
