Certified Nursing Assistant Job Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential eligible for practice in New Hampshire
- At least 1 year of CNA experience in a hospital or comparable acute-care setting
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-service skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate patient care while following established clinical procedures
Hospital CNA Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to licensed nursing staff
- Obtain and document vital signs and other assigned patient observations
- Support repositioning, transfers, fall-prevention measures, and overall patient safety
- Maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable patient-care environment
- Collaborate with nurses and the broader healthcare team to support timely, compassionate patient care
- Follow infection-prevention practices, hospital policies, and applicable safety standards
