- Location: Norristown, Pennsylvania 19403 (conveniently located near the greater Philadelphia region)
- Setting: Acute care behavioral health / medical rehabilitation environment
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: 3 of 6 major holidays
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $610 - $650
- Orientation: Initial hospital orientation followed by unit-based onboarding
- Charting System: Cerner
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar behavioral health, psychiatric, rehab, or acute care setting; residential rehab experience preferred
- Current CNA certification
- Current BLS certification required
- IV experience required
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work effectively with physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and addiction counselors
- Comfortable supporting patients in behavioral health, detox, and rehabilitation environments
- Ability to maintain professionalism in a structured, high-accountability setting
- Must be comfortable with occasional floating across related units
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and clinical support in psychiatric, detox, and rehabilitation units
- Assist with admissions during scheduled hours
- Support medication pass processes and help patients at the medication desk as needed
- Complete patient assessments and documentation support in Cerner
- Lead or assist with group activities, especially medication education and recovery-focused support
- Support meal delivery and routine patient care tasks alongside the care team
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, respectful, recovery-focused care
- Assist with patient safety measures, including restraints when clinically indicated and per training
- Maintain a clean, professional, and engaged presence throughout the shift
