Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Travel Assignment – Acute Care Hospital in Portland, OR

Job Details

  • Location: Portland, OR 97213
  • Setting: Acute care hospital telemetry unit
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Schedule: Approximately 3 shifts per week / 36 hours per week
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $810-$870
  • Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Start Date: 10/12/2026

Job Requirements

  • Active CNA / Nurse Assistant certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • At least 1 year of CNA experience required
  • Prior hospital, acute care, or telemetry experience preferred
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced inpatient clinical environment
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and unit priorities

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with bathing, hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and repositioning
  • Obtain and record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other routine measurements
  • Support patient safety through fall precautions, room checks, and infection-control practices
  • Provide incontinence care, catheter care, and general comfort measures
  • Assist with transfers, mobility, and use of support equipment such as lifts and wheelchairs
  • Monitor and promptly report changes in patient condition to the nursing and care team
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment
  • Float between units as needed to support quality patient care
