CT Technologist Job Details

- Contract Duration: 13-week travel contract
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 10-hour evening shift, scheduled approximately 12:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.

CT Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of CT experience preferred; candidates with less than 1 year may be considered
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography, or eligibility to obtain CT certification within 6 months
- Current Oregon Board of Medical Imaging credential
- Basic Life Support certification preferred
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Image Wisely pledge certificate, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire and renew annually by January 30
- Image Gently pledge certificate, or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire and renew annually by January 30
- Strong commitment to patient safety, radiation protection, and high-quality diagnostic imaging
CT Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform Computed Tomography examinations in accordance with established protocols and departmental standards
- Prepare patients for CT imaging procedures, explain the examination process, and promote a comfortable patient experience
- Operate CT equipment safely and effectively while producing clear, diagnostic-quality images
- Verify patient identification, clinical information, and examination orders before imaging
- Apply appropriate radiation-safety practices and support Image Wisely and Image Gently principles
- Monitor patients throughout CT procedures and promptly communicate relevant concerns to the care team
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital policies for infection prevention, equipment use, and quality assurance
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and fellow imaging professionals to support efficient patient care
