Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent CT and radiology experience in a hospital setting
  • Current ARRT certification in CT and/or Radiography (ARRT certified) — required
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Comfortable working independently and handling call/standby as required
  • Experience with GE CT and X-ray equipment preferred
  • Strong communication, patient care, and clinical documentation skills
  • Prior travel healthcare or contract experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic computed tomography (CT) exams following established protocols and radiation safety standards
  • Verify patient identity, review medical records, and assess risk factors prior to imaging
  • Obtain and update patient history through interviews and prepare patients for CT procedures
  • Explain procedures, risks, benefits, and alternatives clearly to patients and family members
  • Set up CT equipment and acquire high-quality images per physician orders and protocol
  • Perform initial image review, make preliminary observations, and communicate urgent findings to radiologists
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate post-procedure instructions
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and support education for students and new staff
  • May perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist (general radiography) as needed
