CVOR Surgical Technologist (Cardiovascular Operating Room Tech) – Travel Contract in Everett, WA

Travel CVOR Tech Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,950–$2,100
- Assignment Type: 13-week CVOR travel contract
- Location: Everett, Washington
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 25, 2027
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10-hour day shifts
- Regular Hours: 6:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Call Requirement: At least 10 call shifts per month; call coverage may occur between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.
- Weekend Requirement: 1–2 weekends per month
- Surgical Setting: Level II trauma center with approximately 18 operating rooms
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics; adolescent experience is preferred
- Charting System: EPIC
CVOR Surgical Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent CVOR or cardiothoracic surgical technology experience; 2 years is preferred
- Demonstrated experience with general, cardiovascular/thoracic, and laparoscopic procedures
- Ability to independently scrub cardiothoracic cases
- Current BLS certification
- Valid Washington state license or registration; compact license must be active at the time of submission
- NBSTSA certification preferred
- Experience with flexible endoscope reprocessing is preferred, including bronchoscopes, EGD scopes, or EBUS equipment
- Ability to float to the general operating room as needed
- Strong adaptability, teamwork, and willingness to learn in a high-volume surgical environment
CVOR Tech Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical equipment, instruments, and case carts for scheduled procedures
- Provide independent scrub support for cardiovascular and cardiothoracic procedures
- Support procedures including CABG, aortic valve replacement, abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, mitral valve replacement, minimally invasive valve procedures, VATS, mediastinoscopy, and robotic-assisted thoracic surgery
- Assist with central venous line procedures, carotid cutdowns, and laser lead standby cases
- Float to the general OR to support laparoscopic and other general surgical procedures
- Apply aseptic technique, universal protocol, sharps safety, and accurate specimen handling and labeling
- Perform flexible endoscope care and reprocessing according to established standards
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the perioperative team to promote safe, efficient patient care
- Maintain readiness for a daily surgical volume averaging approximately 55 cases
