Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with major studies in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
- Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Current state licensure or certification, if required by the state of Oklahoma
- At least 1 year of experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent
- Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Ability to contribute to a patient-centered, safety-focused hospital care environment
Responsibilities
- Perform nutrition assessments and re-assessments to identify goals, risks, and interventions
- Develop, implement, and monitor Medical Nutrition Therapy plans for diverse patient populations
- Manage enteral and/or parenteral nutrition support regimens in collaboration with pharmacy and medical staff
- Coordinate with Speech Therapy on diet progression and transitional feeding needs
- Clarify admission orders and ensure nutrition-related orders align with facility guidelines
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, and staff
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate nutrition plans and recommendations
- Support menu planning, tray audits, and therapeutic diet oversight
- Maintain accurate, clear clinical documentation and stay current on evidence-based nutrition practices
