Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with major studies in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
  • Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Current state licensure or certification, if required by the state of Oklahoma
  • At least 1 year of experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Ability to contribute to a patient-centered, safety-focused hospital care environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform nutrition assessments and re-assessments to identify goals, risks, and interventions
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Medical Nutrition Therapy plans for diverse patient populations
  • Manage enteral and/or parenteral nutrition support regimens in collaboration with pharmacy and medical staff
  • Coordinate with Speech Therapy on diet progression and transitional feeding needs
  • Clarify admission orders and ensure nutrition-related orders align with facility guidelines
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, and staff
  • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and communicate nutrition plans and recommendations
  • Support menu planning, tray audits, and therapeutic diet oversight
  • Maintain accurate, clear clinical documentation and stay current on evidence-based nutrition practices
