Echo Technologist and Cardiac Sonographer travel contract in Brownwood, Texas, offering a 13-week hospital assignment with adult and geriatric patients. Echo Technologist Travel Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,350–$2,530
  • Location: Brownwood, Texas
  • Healthcare Setting: Hospital, non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography, and vascular imaging
  • Start Date: November 2, 2026
  • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts
  • Shift Hours: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
  • Weekend Coverage: Varied weekend call
  • Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
  • Estimated Volume: Approximately 21 visits per day across three rooms

Cardiac Sonographer Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in echocardiography and vascular imaging
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Both cardiac echo and vascular registries required
  • One or more applicable credentials, including CCI RCS, CCI RVS, RDCS, or RDCS-RVT
  • Active state license or required credential in hand at the time of submission
  • Experience with adult acute care and outpatient patient populations
  • Proficiency with routine, portable, ICU, and emergency department ultrasound studies
  • Experience with 3-D echocardiography, M-mode, bubble studies, contrast imaging, pharmacologic stress echocardiography, treadmill stress echocardiography, and transesophageal echocardiography
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary cardiology and hospital clinical teams

Echo Technologist and Cardiac Sonographer Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations for adult and geriatric patients
  • Conduct routine, portable, ICU, and emergency department echocardiography and vascular imaging studies
  • Perform transthoracic, transesophageal, stress, bubble, contrast, and 3-D echocardiographic procedures as appropriate
  • Obtain and document high-quality diagnostic images and measurements using established echocardiography and vascular imaging protocols
  • Support time-sensitive cardiac imaging needs while maintaining patient safety, privacy, and comfort
  • Use equipment such as GE E95, GE E9, and Toshiba Aplio 300 ultrasound systems
  • Apply appropriate isolation precautions and personal protective equipment when indicated
  • Collaborate with cardiology, nursing, emergency, intensive care, and other hospital teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate pertinent findings according to department procedures
