Occupational Therapist Requirements (Travel OT)

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Florida (OT/OTR candidates encouraged to apply)
• Minimum 1 year as an Occupational Therapist (at least 6 months experience in acute care, SNF, or IP Rehab preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills for inpatient rehab caseloads
• Familiarity with therapy equipment and experience documenting in Meditech preferred (clinical documentation skills required)
• Ability to float within the IP Rehab unit and flexibility to incorporate weekends as needed

Key Responsibilities – Travel Occupational Therapist

• Provide 1:1 occupational therapy to inpatients in the Inpatient Rehab Unit, focusing on ADL retraining, adaptive equipment, and functional mobility.
• Use new therapy equipment and evidence-based interventions to improve patient outcomes in rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge recommendations in Meditech and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Collaborate with physiatrists, PTs, SLPs, nursing, and case management to develop comprehensive rehab plans.
• Assist with caseload management, discharge planning, and patient/family education related to home safety and adaptive equipment.
