Travel Inpatient Pharmacist – 13-Week Hospital Contract in Galion, Ohio
Bring your inpatient pharmacy expertise to a collaborative hospital team in Galion, Ohio. This 13-week travel pharmacist contract offers an opportunity to support safe, effective medication use for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients while working alongside healthcare professionals in a hospital setting. Galion offers a welcoming small-town atmosphere in north-central Ohio, with local parks and convenient access to nearby communities.
Inpatient Pharmacist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,830–$3,040
- Location: Galion, Ohio; on-site
- Contract Dates: November 30, 2026–March 1, 2027
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week; 8-hour day shifts
- Shift Hours: Schedule may be 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Weekend Coverage: Every fourth weekend
- Additional Scheduling: Flexibility to float to nearby campuses as needed. If assigned on call, be able to arrive at the hospital within one hour of notification.
Travel Pharmacist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent, continuous hospital or inpatient pharmacy experience
- Active Ohio pharmacist license; pending licenses are not accepted
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Board certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical pharmacy, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with flexibility to support staffing needs across locations
- Epic experience preferred
- COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations required; medical or religious exemptions may be considered
Inpatient Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Support safe and effective medication management for hospital patients
- Review medication orders and provide clinical pharmacy support to the care team
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote appropriate medication use
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and contribute to coordinated patient care
- Adapt to hospital pharmacy coverage needs, including floating to other nearby campuses when required
