Travel Pediatric Physical Therapist – Acute Care Hospital Setting in Anchorage, Alaska
Travel Pediatric Physical Therapist opportunity in Anchorage, Alaska (99508). - Shift: 5x8 day shifts
- Shift Duration: 8 hours
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,170 - $2,330
- Charting System: Epic
- Weekend Coverage: Some weekends required, approximately 1-2 weekend shifts per month
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Start Date: ASAP
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- Pediatric physical therapy and inpatient experience required
- Valid Alaska Physical Therapist license
- BLS certification required
- Experience treating pediatric populations, including infants, children, and adolescents
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and discharge coordination skills
- Ability to document accurately in Epic electronic medical records
- First-time travelers may be considered with 2 years of experience
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and functional goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions to support mobility, strength, balance, and developmental progress
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and safe mobility techniques
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support discharge planning and continuity of care
- Document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in a timely manner
- Support weekend coverage as scheduled and remain flexible within scope of practice
