  • Weekend Coverage: Required, averaging 2-3 weekend days per month

  • Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required
  • Previous travel PT experience required
  • Active Oregon Physical Therapist license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or fast-paced hospital-based therapy settings preferred
  • Epic documentation experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently, including shifts where you may be the only Physical Therapist on duty
  • Must be able to float to ICU, ED, and ASU as needed

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat hospitalized patients to improve mobility, safety, and functional independence
  • Provide acute care physical therapy for common diagnoses such as deconditioning, post-fall recovery, failure to thrive, and total joint replacements
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans based on patient progress, discharge goals, and interdisciplinary input
  • Perform gait training, transfer training, therapeutic exercise, and therapeutic activity interventions
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safe mobility, and discharge readiness
  • Use assistive devices and mobility equipment appropriately, including walkers, canes, crutches, and mechanical lifts
  • Document accurately in Epic and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Support patient flow and collaborate with other therapy disciplines to help achieve the best possible outcomes
