Job Details

• Position: Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Inpatient Rehab / Acute Rehab
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1920 - $2060
• Location: Chico, CA 95926 — Northern California physical therapy job
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (5/18/2026 – 8/17/2026)
• Shift: 8-hour days (08:00–17:00)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Patient Population: Geriatric / Adult — inpatient rehab caseload
• Electronic Health Record: EPIC (clinical documentation and outcomes tracking)

Job Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of California required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist (inpatient rehab or acute rehab experience preferred)
• Experience with geriatric and adult patient populations preferred
• Strong clinical evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation skills in EPIC
• Friendly, flexible, and team-oriented personality with ability to work independently
• Business casual attire or scrubs

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services to geriatric and adult patients in an inpatient rehabilitation / acute rehab hospital setting
• Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for diagnoses such as CVA (stroke), TBI, fractures, cardiac conditions, orthopedics, and deconditioning
• Deliver hands-on interventions, therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance and functional mobility training
• Document patient progress, goals, and outcomes accurately using EPIC EHR and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and rehabilitation staff to optimize patient discharge planning and continuity of care
• Promote a positive, patient-centered environment and contribute to quality improvement initiatives in the rehab department
