Job Details

  • Position: Travel Physical Therapist / Hospital Physical Therapist
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 - $2,430
  • Location: Hyannis, MA 02601 (Cape Cod, Massachusetts)
  • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 29, 2026)
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
  • Shift: 8-hour days (Rotating start times: 7:30am–4:00pm, 8:00am–4:30pm, or 8:30am–5:00pm)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
  • Employment Type: Travel / Contract (Physical Therapy jobs, travel assignment)
  • Setting: Hospital Rehabilitation Center (inpatient rehab, hospital physical therapy)
  • No holidays or weekends required

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy (or accredited physical therapy degree) from an accredited program
  • Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (MA PT license required)
  • Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist (hospital or inpatient rehab experience preferred)
  • Specialist Certification documentation required for PT Clinical Specialist roles

Key Responsibilities – Hospital Physical Therapist

  • Organize and conduct medically prescribed treatment programs for adult and pediatric patients to restore function and prevent disability (inpatient/hospital rehabilitation)
  • Evaluate new patients, set measurable treatment goals, and establish appropriate treatment programs based on evidence-based practice
  • Administer diagnostic tests to determine impairment, functional limitations, and prognosis
  • Deliver treatment modalities and modify plans based on patient progress and interdisciplinary team input
  • Provide objective, timely documentation of patient care, education, progress, and discharge planning in patient records
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and allied health personnel regarding patient status and care coordination
  • Provide patient and family education, including instruction in therapeutic procedures and home exercise programs
  • Assist in training and mentoring new personnel, PT Assistants, aides, and students
  • Maintain departmental policies, participate in quality assessment programs, and uphold safety standards
  • Attend required meetings and pursue ongoing professional development in physical therapy and hospital care
  • Maintain daily statistical records of patient activity and charges
  • Consistently provide service excellence reflecting compassion, accountability, respect, and clinical excellence
