Travel IR Rad Tech Job Details

• Location: Saginaw, MI 48607 (Michigan travel healthcare job)
• Facility/Setting: Hospital – Interventional Radiology / Imaging Services

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Shift: 8-hour days | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• On-Call: Required (includes weekends/holidays); approx. 1 day/week and 1 weekend/month

Interventional Radiology Technologist Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience (required)
• Neuro Interventional Radiology: Neuro IR experience required
• Licensure: Active Michigan radiologic license (as applicable/required by the state)
• Certifications: ARRT (required) and AHA BLS (required)
• Documentation: Current skills checklist (within 1 year; relevant to Cath Lab/IR) and two supervisory references from the last 2 years
• Travel Eligibility: Must meet facility distance requirements (non-local within a 50-mile radius)
• Scheduling: Any scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission

Key Responsibilities (IR Rad Tech / IR Technologist)

• Set up radiographic/angiographic imaging equipment prior to procedures and ensure readiness of the IR suite.
• Assist with patient preparation, sterile tray set-up, post-procedure care, room turnover, and maintaining a clean procedural environment.
• Manipulate imaging equipment and select appropriate techniques on radiographic generators to achieve optimal image quality.
• Process images and perform quality control checks on cine radiographic images.
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized procedural equipment (e.g., hemodynamic monitoring systems, oxygen saturation equipment, cardiac output computers, pacemakers) and perform related studies/measurements as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the procedural team to support safe, timely, and efficient patient care throughout the IR workflow.
