Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Assignment Type: 13-week travel assignment
• Location: Seattle, Washington 98122
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 18, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,710–$2,920
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
• Call Requirement: Two full weekends within a six-week period and nine weeknight call shifts
• Call Response: 30-minute response time when called in
• Floating: May be required to provide regular shift and call coverage at a nearby affiliated imaging location
• Patient Population: Approximately 50% inpatient and 50% outpatient
• Documentation System: EPIC

Interventional Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• At least 1 year of interventional radiology technologist or IR Tech experience required
• Strong neurovascular experience and/or experience working with stroke teams
• Active Washington State Radiologic Technologist license
• ARRT(R) certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with sterile technique, room circulation, equipment setup, and maintaining interventional radiology supplies
• Proficiency with EPIC, PACS, fluoroscopy, and vascular imaging equipment
• Ability to participate in scheduled call coverage and meet the required response time
• Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the past three years

Interventional Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Assist with interventional radiology, vascular, neurovascular, and endovascular procedures
• Support stroke-related procedures, thrombolysis, thrombectomy, angiography, angioplasty, and stent placement
• Prepare patients, procedure rooms, equipment, and sterile fields for complex interventions
• Assist with procedures including Y-90 chemo delivery, GI bleed treatment, TPA administration, vein sampling, cryoablation, biopsies, drain exchanges, embolization, and vascular access procedures
• Support GI, GU/renal, peripheral vascular, pulmonary, CT, and endovascular procedures
• Monitor patients and recognize changes requiring immediate clinical attention
• Operate and maintain imaging and interventional equipment while promoting patient and staff safety
• Document procedures and patient care accurately in EPIC and related systems
• Provide coverage at a nearby affiliated location as needed for scheduled shifts and call
