  • Location: Mansfield, MA 02048 – Hospital setting (Radiation Therapy Department)

  • Shift: 8-hour days (06:00 AM – 08:00 PM)
  • Hours per Week: 40 hours (guaranteed)

  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,030–$2,190/week

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Current and valid Radiation Therapist certification/license (ARRT or state-specific licensure)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist in a hospital or clinical radiation oncology setting
  • Proficiency with Radiation Oncology Information Systems and hospital EMR software (e.g., ARIA, EPIC) and experience with treatment systems such as Align RT, GE Discover
  • Strong technical knowledge of radiation therapy equipment operation, quality assurance, and safety protocols
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and handle sensitive medical information
  • Organizational skills, adaptability, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Completion of required health screenings and background checks as per hospital policy

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, accurate radiation treatments in accordance with prescribed treatment plans and radiation oncology protocols
  • Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot radiation therapy equipment and simulators while following safety procedures
  • Use radiation oncology information systems (ARIA, EPIC) to document treatments and maintain accurate patient records
  • Coordinate effectively with physicians, radiation oncologists, nursing staff, and peers to support patient care
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and education to patients and families undergoing radiation therapy
  • Demonstrate strong customer service and problem-solving skills; adapt to interruptions and shifting priorities typical of hospital radiation therapy jobs
  • Participate in quality assurance, safety checks, and continuous improvement initiatives within the radiation oncology department
