Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1.5 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Active New Jersey respiratory therapy license required
- BLS and NBRC credentials required
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred; may be obtained onsite
- Experience with EPIC charting preferred/required for this assignment
- Comfort working with adult and pediatric patient populations
- Strong clinical background in critical care, emergency, or acute care settings preferred
- Ability to adapt to a floating assignment within skill set
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients
- Collect blood gases and support timely patient assessment
- Initiate and manage ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Respond to codes and assist with urgent clinical situations
- Support in-house patient transport as needed
- Administer respiratory medications and chest physiotherapy
- Work with equipment such as Servo-I, Servo-U, and V60 BiPAP systems
- Float between PICU, Emergency Department, and Adult Critical Care based on unit needs
- Document accurately in EPIC and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support excellent patient outcomes
